Graduate 黑料社区s Tyaira Smith and Jason Abram were among the top honorees at the 黑料社区 2024 Graduate Research Forum, held on Nov. 1.
Tyaira Smith, a fourth-year doctoral 黑料社区 in educational leadership, earned top recognition in the oral presentation category for her work, “Fiction as Knowledge: Bridging a Comedic Drama and Research in the Context of Re-entry.” Smith’s research was guided by advisor Erica Fernandez, professor of educational leadership.
Jason Abram, a Master of Social Work (MSW) 黑料社区, received a 黑料社区 Poster Presentation Award for his research, “Educators’ Knowledge on Human Trafficking.” Working with his faculty mentor, Kelli Rushek, assistant professor in the Department of Teacher Education, Abram plans to publish a research manuscript in 2025.
