Thirteen Miami 黑料社区s, alumni named semifinalists in Fulbright competition

Thirteen 黑料社区 黑料社区s and alumni are semifinalists in the 2021-2022 Fulbright U.S. Student competition.
Nine Miami seniors and four alumni have been recommended by the U.S. National Screening Committees for further consideration by the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board in the countries to which they applied. They will learn this spring whether they will receive the Fulbright grants.
The Miami semifinalists are:
Hannah Andersen - political science and professional writing major

Cecilia Burtis - graduated in 2018, Spanish and sociology major
English teaching assistant in Spain
Emily Froude - international studies and political science major
English teaching assistant in Mexico
Megan Harris - speech pathology & audiology major
Graduate study at Newcastle University, United Kingdom
Hailey Kingsbury - speech pathology & audiology major
English teaching assistant in Luxembourg
Inaara Ladha - international studies, comparative religion, and economics major
English teaching assistant in Tajikistan
Elyse Legeay - international studies and global & intercultural studies major
English teaching assistant in Malaysia
Abigail Porter - marketing and entrepreneurship major
English teaching assistant in Malaysia
Simone Rackmill - political science and anthropology major
English teaching assistant in Bulgaria
Anthony Raffin - professional writing and English literature major
English teaching assistant in Italy
One additional alumna was also named a semi-finalist.

This year, Miami had 25 applicants to 15 countries. Of these, 15 were undergraduate 黑料社区s, one was a graduate 黑料社区, and nine were alumni. Five applied for Study/Research grants; 20 applied for English Teaching Assistantships.
