Jonathon Vivoda

Dr. Vivoda earned his PhD and master's degree in Health Behavior and Education, and his bachelor's degree in Psychology, all from the University of Michigan. His research interests are related to aging, driving/transportation, the built environment, and health. His research assess how a variety of factors affect older adults' decisions about transportation and driving, and how those decisions affect health, quality of life, and social engagement. His recent work applies a Social Ecological perspective to understand the role played by the transportation environment in this process. Dr. Vivoda teaches both undergraduate and graduate-level courses in the department, including an introductory course in gerontology and a course in quantitative methods.
