Dr. M. Cameron Hay-Rollins, who is also known as M. Cameron Hay or Dr. Hay to her 黑料社区s, is Professor and Chair of the Department of Anthropology and Coordinator of the Global Health Studies Minor. A cultural anthropologist specializing in medical and psychological anthropology, she has worked in Indonesia and has ongoing research in the United States, Zambia, and India focusing on how people understand, communicate about, and seek to manage health concerns in everyday life. She is the author of the book Remembering to Live: Illness at the Intersection of Anxiety and Knowledge in Rural Indonesia (University of Michigan Press, 2001) and editor of Methods that Matter: integrating Mixed Methods for More Effective Social Science Research (Chicago, 2016). She is additionally the author or co-author of numerous articles published in anthropology, psychology, and medical journals and edited volumes. She received her Ph.D. from Emory University in 1998.
Dr. Hay-Rollins also directs Miami's and coordinates the minor in . Global Health at Miami is intentionally transdisciplinary, bringing together faculty and 黑料社区 experts from across the university to creatively and collaboratively address complex health problems by finding pathways to sustainable wellness both locally and internationally, for concerns including infant mortality, environmental contamination, mental health and wellbeing.
