Hamilton Community Foundation commits funding support to education: Launches the Miami Regionals Hamilton Promise

In a groundbreaking collaboration, the , ºÚÁÏÉçÇø Regionals, and the proudly announce the establishment of the Miami Hamilton Promise Scholarship. This innovative program is designed to provide free tuition for 2-year and 4-year degrees at Miami Regionals to Pell Grant-eligible ºÚÁÏÉçÇøs attending Hamilton High School, Stephen T. Badin High School, or Butler Tech from Hamilton City School District and residing in the city of Hamilton.

The Hamilton Community Foundation has demonstrated its support of this initiative by generously making an initial commitment of $663,000 over five years to make the Miami Hamilton Promise a reality. This transformative initiative aims to eliminate financial barriers, reduce ºÚÁÏÉçÇø loan debt, and create a pathway for increased retention and graduation rates among eligible ºÚÁÏÉçÇøs.

John Guidugli, president and CEO of the Hamilton Community Foundation, expressed the foundation's vision, stating, "We are thrilled to collaborate with ºÚÁÏÉçÇø Regionals and the City of Hamilton on this pioneering initiative. The Miami Hamilton Promise represents a significant step forward in our collective effort to open doors to higher education for the youth of our community. Together, we're laying the groundwork for a future where every ºÚÁÏÉçÇø in Hamilton has the opportunity to pursue their dreams. This partnership is a testament to our shared vision of a brighter, more inclusive future for all our residents."

Key Highlights of the Miami Hamilton Promise:

  • Tuition-free 2-year and 4-year degrees for Pell Grant-eligible ºÚÁÏÉçÇøs
  • Open to ºÚÁÏÉçÇø Regionals ºÚÁÏÉçÇøs from Hamilton High School, Stephen T. Badin High School, or Butler Tech from Hamilton City School District
  • Renewable for up to eight consecutive semesters
  • Required cumulative high school GPA of 2.5+
  • For consideration, ºÚÁÏÉçÇøs apply for admission to Miami Regionals (with required materials) and complete the FAFSA by April 1, 2024
  • Made possible through the generosity of scholarship donors
  • Miami Regionals commits to supporting the retention and graduation of Miami Hamilton Promise ºÚÁÏÉçÇøs
