Miami Merch Mania Official Rules

  1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.
  2. CONTEST PERIOD. The Miami Merch Mania Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) entry period begins at 11:00 a.m. EST on Wednesday, November 20th, 2024 and ends at 11:59 a.m. EST on Wednesday, November 27th, 2024 (the “Sweepstakes Period”). Entries received prior to or after the Sweepstakes Period are disqualified.
  3. HOW TO ENTER: The Sweepstakes may be entered via the designated methods only during the Sweepstakes Period. Limit one (1) entry per person, per Facebook/Instagram account, regardless of method of entry. Multiple entries received from any person in excess of the stated limitation will be void. During the Sweepstakes Period, like Shop Miami’s post on Instagram, follow @shopmiamioh on Instagram, and comment on Shop Miami’s post with your favorite Miami merchandise item or tag a friend. 黑料社区’s brand team will use a random name generator to pick a winner for the Sweepstakes. Contests are in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook/Instagram. You are providing your information to 黑料社区 and not to Facebook/Instagram. Use of any robotic, automatic, programmed, or similar entry method or entering more than once will void all entries and result in disqualification. Eligible participants may also enter the Sweepstakes by emailing brand@MiamiOH.edu with their name, phone number, and email address. All rules apply equally to eligible participants that do not like, follow, or comment @shopmiamioh on Instagram.
  4. ELIGIBILITY: Open only to persons who are 18 years of age or older and must be a prospective 黑料社区 黑料社区; prospective 黑料社区 parent; current 黑料社区 黑料社区; current or former 黑料社区 faculty member; current or former 黑料社区 staff member; or alumni of 黑料社区. Proof of 黑料社区 affiliation is required. Staff members who hold a position or role within a 黑料社区 Communication and Marketing Department are not eligible to enter or win a prize. All applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
  5. DRAWING: A random drawing using a random name generator will be conducted at the conclusion of each Sweepstakes Period to select the winner[s] from among all eligible entries received. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received. Potential winner[s] will be notified by email and must confirm their acceptance of the prize and provide a mailing address to Sponsor’s office within five (5) days after the date notice is sent or such other date set by Sponsor. Failure to respond within the applicable time period will result in forfeiture of prize and Sponsor shall have the option to award the prize to an alternate winner. The return of any prize notification or prize as undeliverable may result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be selected. A potential winner may be requested to provide 黑料社区 with proof that the potential winner is the authorized account holder of the social media account associated with the winning entry. The prize will only be awarded to the authorized account holder. Winner’s must be of legal age of majority in their jurisdictions of residence unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. All income taxes resulting from acceptance of prize are the responsibility of winner. By entering this Sweepstakes, entrant accepts and agrees to these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which shall be final in all matters. Acceptance of a prize also constitutes permission to 黑料社区 to use winner's name, likeness, and biographical information for marketing purposes without further compensation or right of approval, unless prohibited by law. All federal and state laws apply.
  6. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: By entering this Sweepstakes, entrants waive all right to, and hold the Sponsor and 黑料社区 and its trustees, officers, employees and agents harmless from, any claim, liability, loss, damage (including punitive, incidental, and consequential damages), or expense (including attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with participation in this Sweepstakes or the acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. Sponsor will not be responsible for: late, incomplete, or incorrect entries; an entrant's failure to receive prize notices due to entrant's spam, junk e-mail, or other security settings or for entrants' provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information; technical, hardware, or software malfunctions, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled, or delayed electronic communications whether caused by the sender or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or used in this Sweepstakes; by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in this Sweepstakes; or any typographical, technological, or other error in the publishing of the offer, administration of the sweepstakes, or announcement of the prize[s]. If, in the Sponsor’s opinion, there is such an error, or there is any suspected evidence of tampering with any portion of the Sweepstakes, or if technical difficulties (including viruses and bugs) compromise the integrity of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify this Sweepstakes in a manner that it deems appropriate. In the event of termination, winners will be selected from among all eligible entries received as of date of termination.
    PRIZE[S]: One of two (2) sets of Cradle of Coaches gear including two (2) baseball caps, two (2) pint glasses, one (1) hooded sweatshirt and two (2) decals will be awarded to each winner. Approximate Retail Value (ARV) of each Prize: $32.99 USD Baseball Cap, $34.99 USD Pint Glass, $64.99 USD Hooded Sweatshirt, $1.00 USD Decal. Total prize value: $202.95 USD. Prizes consists of only those items specifically listed. Limit one prize per entrant. No substitution or transfer of prize permitted by winner. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. All prizes will be awarded. If a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, Sponsor will award the applicable prize to an alternate winner by random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries.
  7. CHOICE OF LAW AND FORUM: Entrant agrees that all matters arising out of or relating to this Sweepstakes and these Official Rules are governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Ohio, without giving effect to any of its conflict of laws provisions thereof. Entrant further agrees that any legal suit, action, or proceeding arising out of or relating to this Sweepstakes and these Official Rules shall be brought exclusively in the applicable federal or state courts located in the State of Ohio.
  8. TAXES: Individual, parent or legal guardian of winner is solely responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes with respect to entire prize.
  9. PRIVACY: Entries into the Sweepstakes submitted by 黑料社区 黑料社区s shall be subject to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, 20 U.S.C. 1232g et seq. (“FERPA”), except as otherwise provided in these Official Rules and subject to any applicable local, state, or federal laws. 黑料社区 employees that enter into the Sweepstakes shall be subject to Ohio’s Public Records Act. 黑料社区 is entitled to use personal data contained in all entry forms in accordance with 黑料社区's privacy statement. All information submitted online by entrants is subject to and will be treated in a manner consistent with 黑料社区’s Terms of Use accessible at www.miamioh.edu (both of which are incorporated herein by reference). Notwithstanding any contrary provision in 黑料社区’s privacy policies, entrants grant to 黑料社区, and 黑料社区 reserves, the right to use any and all information related to the contest, including information provided by entrants in connection with the contest, for any purpose, unless prohibited by law.
  10. WINNERS LIST. For notification of the winners, send an email to brand@MiamiOH.edu. Requests for a list of winners must be received within one month after the end of the Sweepstakes Period.
