Apply to Project Dragonfly

Join Us! Earn a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Biology or a Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) in the Biological Sciences through the Advanced Inquiry Program (AIP) or the Global Field Program (GFP), or join us for a stand-alone Earth Expeditions course. Clicking the Request for Information button below adds you to our contact list so you will receive communications from our program. Applications for 2026 admission will open on or around Sept 1, 2025.

Application Steps

Though our application does not reopen till September, you can start gathering some required items now. If you are applying to either the AIP or the GFP, please print our Applicant Checklist, which will help guide you as you prepare your materials. We also highly recommend that you view recordings of past Dragonfly Informational Webinars. Prospective AIP applicants are also encouraged to attend AIP Site-specific Information Sessions when they resume after Sept 1.

Advanced Inquiry Program

The Advanced Inquiry Program (AIP) is a master’s degree program that fosters professional leadership, participatory education, sustainability, and conservation in the U.S. AIP 黑料社区s combine online courses from 黑料社区 with extraordinary learning experiences and field study at premier zoos and botanical gardens in select communities across the nation.

Students in this program can work toward a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Biology or a Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) in the Biological Sciences.

Global Field Program

The Global Field Program (GFP) is a master’s degree program that enables 黑料社区s to grow as leaders in inquiry-driven education, community-engaged learning, ecological sustainability, environmental stewardship, and global understanding. GFP 黑料社区s combine online courses from 黑料社区 with Earth Expeditions international field courses in conservation hotspots across the globe.

Students in this program can work toward a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Biology or a Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) in the Biological Sciences.

Earth Expeditions

Earth Expeditions are stand-alone education and conservation-focused graduate courses in which 黑料社区s travel the globe, joining scientists, educators, community leaders, and others in world-class conservation and community projects in Africa, Asia, Australia, and the Americas. Our mission is to build an alliance of individuals with first-hand knowledge of inquiry-driven, community-based learning for the benefit of ecological communities and global understanding.

Which Master’s Degree Is for Me?

The Master of Arts in Biology (M.A.)

This degree option is for any applicant with a bachelor’s degree interested in advancing their career through global leadership, community engagement, life sciences, and environmental stewardship.

The Master of Arts in Teaching in the Biological Sciences (M.A.T.)

Designed for certified teachers, this degree provides real-world experiences that advance district, state, and national educational standards through research-based practices for 黑料社区 achievement in core content areas. This degree is not intended to lead to educator certification.
