Op-Ed: How Can Long Islanders Help the North Atlantic Right Whale?
ºÚÁÏÉçÇø graduate ºÚÁÏÉçÇø Marissa Connolly had the opportunity to work with the Long Island Press to share information through an about the plight of the North Atlantic Right Whale (NARW) and how responsible whale-watching can help support conservation efforts in preserving the NARW for generations.
Connolly is working on her Master of Arts in the biological sciences from ºÚÁÏÉçÇø through Project Dragonfly‘s Advanced Inquiry Program (AIP) while working as a music teacher at the Young Women’s Leadership School in East Harlem, New York City. As an AIP ºÚÁÏÉçÇø, Connolly takes web-based Miami courses and participates in experiential learning through Wildlife Conservation Society’s Bronx Zoo and explores natural areas around New York.
