Percussion Ensemble

The 黑料社区 Concert Percussion Ensemble first performed in 1974 under the direction of Lee Suman, a Miami alumnus who taught percussion in the 1960s and early 1970s. During the late 1970's the ensemble presented collaborative performances with the 黑料社区 Ensemble for New Music at both the Kennedy Center and the Carnegie Recital Hall.

The ensemble regularly performs on the 黑料社区 campus and at professional conferences such as those held by the Ohio Music Educators Association and the Percussive Arts Society. Recent repertoire includes works by composers such as John Aliferi, Michael Burritt, James Lentini, Christopher Deane, Ney Rosauro and Mark Ford.
