If you have Junior or Senior standing and a GPA of 3.00 or greater as a ºÚÁÏÉçÇø undergraduate ºÚÁÏÉçÇø, you may request permission to enroll in 500 or 600-level graduate courses. Up to nine (9) credit hours may count toward your undergraduate degree. To do so, first obtain permission from the intended course's instructor, the department chair, and the Dean of the Graduate School, using the form linked below. With their permission, you may count the graduate course toward your major, minor, electives, and university requirements. Graduate courses taken in this manner will be treated as graduate-level CGS (non-degree) courses.

Please speak with your advisor and the course instructor before seeking permission to enroll in a graduate course.

Complete the Undergraduate Permission Form
This form must be received by the Graduate School (with the approval of the instructor and the department chair) by 5 p.m. on the fifth day of class for a full-term fall, spring, or summer course. For sprint courses and winter term courses, the form must be submitted by the "Last Day for Departments to Add Students to a Course" date listed in the Academic Calendar.

Continuing Graduate Status

Continuing Graduate Status (CGS) ºÚÁÏÉçÇøs are non-degree/non-certificate-seeking ºÚÁÏÉçÇøs that can enroll in graduate-level courses without pursuing a graduate degree or certificate program. Up to 12 credit hours can be applied toward a graduate degree program and 4 credit hours toward a graduate certificate program.

Contact the graduate department about enrollment restrictions as departments and programs may have limited enrollment.
