The mission of our Honors College Faculty-in-Residence program is to encourage greater interaction between ºÚÁÏÉçÇøs and faculty members (and their families) and to expose undergraduates to role models who integrate intellectual activities into their daily lives. By residing on Western Campus in a residence hall, the participating faculty member receives the invaluable chance to get to know their ºÚÁÏÉçÇøs on a deeper level outside of the lecture hall or lab and facilitates intellectual dialogue in the Honors residence halls on Western Campus.

Our Goals

1. Foster faculty/ºÚÁÏÉçÇø interaction outside of the classroom setting.
2. Enhance the intellectual life of the Honors Residential College through programming and ºÚÁÏÉçÇøs' exposure to faculty.

We accomplish these goals in a number of ways:

• Continuous collaboration with Honors College staff, ºÚÁÏÉçÇøs, organizations and the Office of Residential Life.
• Inclusion of other faculty members in residential activities.
• Development of ºÚÁÏÉçÇøs' curiosity about and involvement in educational/cultural activities beyond the confines of the classroom.
• Regular interaction and mentorship between Honors College ºÚÁÏÉçÇøs and faculty (e.g., organized activities, events, field trips, workshops, lunches, office hours).
