Howe Writing Across the Curriculum (HWAC) oversees approval of Advanced Writing (ADVW) courses. Our local advisory board also serves as the Miami Plan Writing Committee.

We are happy to guide you through the principles, best practices, requirements, and application process behind ADVW at Miami.

If you plan to teach an ADVW course, or if your department would like to propose or revise an ADVW course or course sequence, consider joining our semester-long Faculty Writing Fellows Program.
