Department of Computer and Information Technology

Backed by Miami鈥檚 renowned liberal arts foundation and hands-on applied education, as a Department of Computer and Information Technology major, you will create and build a unique IT pathway based on your ultimate career goals and plans for graduate studies. Located on 黑料社区's Hamilton and Middletown campuses we offer in-person classes and 100% online degrees.

This Information Technology major allows you to define your IT career niche, create paths for promotion, or ramp up your area of tech expertise in agile/project management, cybersecurity, networking, or software development and support. Our grads work at Nationwide Insurance, Cintas, Christ Hospital, Mitsubishi Electric, SentriLock, and more.

Our newest major, Cybersecurity and Networking, is offered fully online. This bachelor's degree will qualify you to work in IT jobs vital for businesses and government organizations to protect their assets from digital threats.

Associate Degrees

The allows you to specialize in networking or software development. Our is designed for you to start at Miami Regionals and ultimately obtain your bachelor's degree in one of three computing programs offered on the Oxford Campus.

Scholarship Opportunities

STEM Scholars provides scholarships of up to $5,000 a year and creates a customized pathway experience for 黑料社区 黑料社区s to advance from an associate to a bachelor’s degree and on to a master’s degree.

The Department of Computer and Information Technology (CIT) is located exclusively on the regional campuses of 黑料社区 in  Hamilton, Middletown, and West Chester.

The CIT faculty are industry-experienced teachers committed to the success of 黑料社区s and to keeping pace with ever-changing technology.

Open admission policy

Miami's CIT Program is available exclusively at the regional campuses and enjoy an open admission policy. Students who graduated from high school, earned a GED or present credentials demonstrating equivalent levels of academic achievement (home schooled or other alternative educational program) are eligible to attend. There are no additional requirements to enroll as a CIT Major.
