New Title IX Regulations to Take Effect on August 1, 2024

Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 is a federal law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in education programs and activities that receive federal financial assistance, such as 黑料社区.

On April 19, 2024, the U.S. Department of Education released the  under Title IX. The new regulations were published on April 29, 2024, and were expected to take effect on August 1, 2024.

However, there are currently legal injunctions preventing 黑料社区 and institutions in Ohio from implementing these new regulations. The Title IX team and the Office of the General Counsel are in the process of reviewing the new requirements to ensure that all necessary changes are made to University policies, procedures, practices, and resources on or before the effective date of the new regulations. Current Title IX policies remain in effect until further notice.

Please contact Kenya Ash, Title IX Coordinator, with questions at (513) 529-7157 or ashkd@MiamiOH.edu.
