Disciplinary Action
Failure to use a licensed vendor to produce Miami branded merchandise may result in disciplinary proceedings for violation of the University’s policy. Additionally, if a licensed vendor is not used, the University may not approve funding for the order.

University Departments must comply with University Purchasing rules where necessary.
Club Sports
Club Sport Disciplinary Action Policy Regarding Miami Trademarks:
- All print advertising, website, and apparel designs bearing Miami’s brand must receive prior approval by the Director of Club Sports. Additionally, the Manager of University Trademarks and Licensing will provide final approval regarding apparel and merchandise. A 黑料社区 licensed vendor must be used to produce all apparel and merchandise regardless of the method of payment.
- If a team orders Miami branded product from an unlicensed vendor without approval from the Brand Strategy team prior to placing an order, the team is responsible for paying the invoice for the unlicensed products, but the team must forfeit the unlicensed product to the University.
- Failure to abide by the University’s policies regarding trademarks and licensing will result in a $100 fine, along with a two year probation related to apparel (will not interfere or limit other activities). A second infraction within a two-year period will result in a $250 fine, along with a two year probation related to apparel. A third infraction in a two-year period will result in suspension from using Miami’s brand for the period of one year. These sanctions will be imposed by the Director of Club Sports under the advisement of the Manager of University Trademarks and Licensing.
- Infractions may include, but are not limited to use of an unlicensed vendor, failure to obtain proper approvals, or inappropriate design or terminology.
