Fall: Try Hockey for Free
Date: Saturday, October 4, 7:15-8:15 p.m.
Miami has a long rich tradition and high standards for developing elite athletes and individuals both on and off the ice. Miami Youth Hockey and our committed members joining the Miami Hockey family will follow these traditions and will live up to the high standards set.
Miami Hockey School’s goals are to provide a safe camp atmosphere, help hockey players improve on and off the ice, and provide an overall camp experience you won’t get anywhere else. We offer 4 boys’ programs and 2 girls’ programs. Each camp builds on one another which keeps the camp fresh for those who return.
Goggin Ice Center offers three Try Hockey for Free weekends for children ages 4 - 9. A girl's weekend and two weekends for everyone. This fun opportunity will allow children to explore the sport of ice hockey and parents to see their child's second first steps!
No ice skating or hockey experience is necessary, as trained staff will be on hand. Attendees can expect to learn the basics of skating, stickhandling, passing, and shooting.
Goggin will provide hockey sticks and pucks, but please bring gloves, a helmet, and a warm pair of pants!
If Try Hockey for Free attendees want to develop their hockey skills further, they can sign up for Goggin's Jr. RedHawks Learn to Play program. This program is the perfect next step for players looking to continue their education on the ice!

Miami Hockey School aims to offer a unique camp experience with a focus on player development both on and off the ice. The camp features 4 boys' and 2 girls' programs, each designed to build on previous sessions.
On-ice activities include skating, skills, and scrimmages, led by experienced coaches with a 7:1 coach-to-player ratio. Off-ice components such as video analysis, dry land training, and team-building activities are integral to the program.
Goalies receive specialized training throughout the week.
The camp also provides accommodations at the nearby Marcum Hotel and Conference Center for families.
