Dear Miamians,

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø to the 2022-23 academic year! I am excited to see our campuses alive with energy and activity. To our class of 2026 and all of the graduate ºÚÁÏÉçÇøs, transfer ºÚÁÏÉçÇøs, faculty members, and staff joining us for the first time, welcome to Miami! We are thrilled you are a part of the Miami family. We look forward to your presence and perspective enhancing our extraordinary community.

This is going to be another exciting year. We each have the opportunity to make discoveries and experience milestones and achievements still unimagined. I am honored to embark on this journey alongside you. So many great things are happening that prepare us for a bright future, and give our teacher-scholars, ºÚÁÏÉçÇøs, and mentors more opportunities to share knowledge, ignite new ideas, and engage in cutting-edge research.

Diversity, equity, and inclusion remain top priorities at Miami. We continue to encourage and cultivate an environment of inclusion where the entire campus community feels safe and has a sense of belonging. Miami is a place where forward-thinking and creative solutions are uncovered and applied. Diverse perspectives are welcomed and celebrated.
